Its been 2 years since I wrote this review, GoHighLevel is still going strong and I added my comments for 2023 in the article!

GoHighLevel provides a set of features to the users:

At first glance, it may sound like a simple CRM but it offers much more when used by experienced web agencies.

It may sound like I am promoting it, but trust me I am not. This is my honest review, I will mention the drawbacks later in this post but at the end, you will clearly see why this is an easy choice for marketing agencies.

Drawback Alert -> Complexity

See, that is the first major drawback. This is for “Marketing Agencies”. Not for regular users or some local business owners. The reason is simple: it is way too complicated for them to set up.

Well, that is also a good thing because it is not that hard to set up for an agency owner or a web designer, or a tech wiz. (It took me like a couple of hours to figure it out.)

This gets me to my first point. White Label features.

White Label CRM and White Label Services

Yes, you can literally use your own logo and even domain to display this CRM. This might be an overlooked feature right now. But GoHighLevel allows you to create an UNLIMITED number of subaccounts. This means you can create little customized CRMs for your clients as an agency owner and they would think that you are the one actually created it.

It even allows you to use your own subdomains for forms, calendars, and everything. There is almost no way for anyone to notice you are not the owner of this CRM.

So, the idea is simple. Create account snapshots for your agency profile. Customize it according to the needs of your client. Then either let them use it as a complementary or charge them for it. Monthly. All of that is just for $297 per month. With a 14-day free trial. Crazy right?

Why Use High Level CRM?

We already talked about the biggest selling point for me, white-label stuff.

But, that is simply not enough to buy this product. If it is a CRM, then it needs to be a good one. After all, our clients should want to use it.

How do we know if our clients would want to use it?

Let's check as agency owners if we want to use it first.

Generate More Leads

Do you need any more explanation?

This CRM allows you to create funnels for yourself and for your client's businesses. You can simply create one powerful funnel and apply it to multiple clients that are in a similar niche. It offers everything click funnels offer and lets you apply that to everyone under your hood.

Now the other side of the coin, as every CRM should, GoHighLevel offers powerful customer management features. You can track the customers in the pipeline, communicate with them directly on the app and assign tasks to them.

The same features can be used by your clients for their businesses as well.

Funnel Creation

This is what it looks like on the funnel creation page:

You can include your calendar, or custom contact forms as well as custom web pages directly created inside the CRM. You can define the steps, and attach each step to a campaign using triggers.

Sky is the limit on possibilities.

Marketing Automation

You got two options here. You can either use email marketing or text message marketing or both. You can also assign manual tasks to clients so that when it is the right time, you can manually call your leads directly on the app.

Let's give a scenario:

  1. A lead fills your contact form on your website
  2. Now the lead is placed in your pipeline.
  3. You have a couple of triggers are being triggered at this point.
  4. Triggers add this lead to a welcoming campaign.
  5. Now, this campaign will email this lead until they book an appointment.

Don`t forget, your clients can also apply these to their leads. That is why we resell them this CRM after all.

Phone Systems

GoHighLevel has an easy Twilio integration.

Twilio lets you buy phone numbers from anywhere you want and it's all online. When you set up Twilio:

  1. You will be able to call or text your customers directly on the app.
  2. You can implement text messages or voice mail campaigns.
  3. You can send appointment reminders or anything you want really.

Another thing is, if you have employees under your agency, you can assign a phone number to each of them. Then you assign clients to your employees (automatically) and make them call the leads by assigning tasks to them (again, automatically).

Reputation Management

You can also integrate your google my business page into CRM. By doing so you will be able to monitor your reviews and also request reviews from your customers through the app.

This is really beneficial for agencies who work with local small businesses. Your clients (the ones who you resell this CRM) can monitor their status and when you set up the triggers they will request a review from the client automatically.

Let's give an example:

  1. Your client moved one of their clients to the completed stage in the pipeline.
  2. And you had a trigger like the one below for this client.
  3. Now it automatically requests a review for that client.

Why do you want to do that?

Simple, our clients (small business owners) don`t want to email each of their clients one by one. By doing this all they have to do is to move that client to the completed stage in the pipeline. Everything else is handled in the backend.

Reporting

GoHighLevel lets you keep track of multiple things. Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and Call Analytics.

  1. Google Ads: The CRM allows you to keep track of your Google Ads campaigns directly inside the app. Everything I say below also applies here :).
  2. Facebook Ads: GoHighLevel also lets you keep track of your Facebook ads campaigns. One good use case of this is where you also handle Facebook ads of the client you sold this CRM to. They can simply let them check the current status of their apps. (You can also turn this feature off for them if you don't want them to see the analytics)

3. Call Reporting: Due to its integration with Twilio, GoHighLevel offers some powerful tools for call management. You can record each call and let it drop to the conversations section and then listen to it if you want. You can also check out the analytics of these calls as seen below.

Scheduling

As I mentioned before, you can also get appointments directly through this app. There is a prebuilt appointment schedule form for you and all of your clients.

So, all you do is place that forms on a landing page and let the clients book appointments. No plugin, no tool, and nothing extra is required.

Customer Relations

You can talk to your clients directly through the app.

Each e-mail they send or voice mail or your conversations on the phone or text messages are recorded here. And can be sent here.

Agency Management System

Here comes the white-label stuff again.

So, you probably already understand how you can resell this stuff using your own domain and logo and customization and everything right?

Let me go into detail on how you would do all these things.

There are two separate sections in GoHighLevel.

  • Agency View
  • Client View

Agency view is where you look at. You can create an unlimited number of CRM subaccounts for your clients. (Each subaccount gets its own client view, aka. their own CRM.) You can create an UNLIMITED amount of subaccounts. Meaning, you can resell CRM to an UNLIMITED number of customers. Just for $297. Including a 14-day free trial.

As you can see I also have my agency as a subaccount there.

Why? Because you can use this for your own CRM needs as well.

Just open a subaccount for your agency, and you it for your own purposes as if you were a client.

In fact, if you don`t want to resell the CRM and just use it for your own purposes for now. You can simply just purchase that feature for $97. Again, including a 14-day free trial.

Account Snapshots

Do we customize each client's CRM over and over and over and over again?

Nope.

There are already built-in account snapshots for almost every kind of business you may need. (Including agencies)

So you simply select one of those and GoHighLevel builts that subaccount for you.

Marketing campaigns, funnels, triggers, settings everything you may need is installed instantly.

You can also create your own snapshots.

Let's say you work with real estate agencies and you want to create one template that you will apply to all of them.

Well, I am tired at this point. This thing just has way too many features.

So, let's say your clients want to have a Facebook ads campaign but you don`t usually do that or you don`t have enough manpower to handle that at that point. You can simply purchase it from the app and they will handle it without letting your client know.

Or, you can let them set up a custom snapshot, create a website, and many more things that an agency may need to provide to its customers.

Hell, your whole job can be reselling CRM at some point.

So, now is the right time, tomorrow will be too late. Don`t forget, not many agencies know about this right now and I believe CRM that local small businesses can actually use doesn`t really exist. Except this one of course.

Conclusion

Well, these were my opinions on the best CRM for agencies.

Give it a shot.

What agency can resist a new line of income? Not known by many people can be a great selling point and a complimentary item.

Even if you won't resell this thing, it is a powerful CRM and funnel builder of its own. You can use it for your own marketing purposes.
